This design was chosen for Chronicle Books’ marketing campaign to promote its 2023–2024 Design Fellowship Program. The poster and postcards were sent to over 80 schools across the United States and adapted into various sizes for digital assets, including Instagram ads, Twitter and LinkedIn posts, and the website banner.
Inspired by Bauhaus graphic design, the eye is a play on Chronicle Books’ spectacles logo and the publisher’s motto to “See things differently.” Paired with Chronicle’s iconic blue, the simple, yet dynamic layout aims to communicate “Design Fellowship” and the company’s brand in an eye-catching instant.
