Negatives is a hardcover time capsule of the emo music scene from 1996 to 2006 with never-before-seen photographs and never-before-told stories from key emo musicians, photographers, and icons. 
I collaborated closely with the author on interior layout, photo selection, and sequencing, communicating with the photo editor on image quality for print production. The photos are the hero of this book and they are featured at a diversity of scales, conveying the raw energy of the emo scene. The middle section of this book, titled “Everything & Everyone,” takes on the DIY ethos of emo, featuring candid off-stage shots that are arranged in a yearbook-esque layout, interspersed with essays and bite-sized narratives.
