This deluxe boxed set of playing cards includes two standard 54-card decks with vibrant, hand-drawn blossoms and succulents from the bestselling LEGO Botanical sets. The two decks are nestled in a collectible keepsake box—one deck features face cards with illustrations of blossoms built of LEGO elements, and the other showcases LEGO succulents.
Adapting illustrations by Nina Pace commissioned for the LEGO Botanical Almanac book into this new format, I created patterns for the card backs and designs for the face cards with rotated symmetry. Aside from the aces and the jokers, there is no upside-down or wrong way to hold the cards. Bringing in Nina’s painterly textures into the four suits, this beautiful package is designed to fit within the LEGO Botanical aesthetic.
